Sand Screens
Through our global alliances and partners, we at PETROECS, can offer a wide range of sand screens, depending on your requirements.
Wire Wrapped Screens – Direct Wrap
Our Direct Wire Wrapped screens have a unique shrink fit design, where the wire jacket is shrink-wrapped directly to the perforated base pipe, making the screen and base pipe to behave as one piece. This makes our screens to be the most robust in the market, as all external forces on the screen are transferred to the base pipe.Wire Wrapped Screens – Slip-On pipe
These are standard wire wrapped screens where the jacket is built separately and pushed over the perforated base pipe. Slip-On pipe wire wrapped screens can be offered when the cost/strength requirements allow it.
Direct Wrap Screens with Inflow Control Device (ICD)
Built on the structure of a Direct Wrap Screen, where a wire jacket is shrink-wrapped directly to the perforated base pipe, the ICD is designed to ensure uniform production from the entire length of the well and also to delay water and gas breakthrough. Other ICD designs are available for water injection applications.Premium Mesh Screens
Premium mesh screens are suitable for nonuniform, high-fines environments, open-hole sand control completions. The wire mesh is constructed to provide maximum open area in order to reduce the risk of plugging and allow for unrestricted flow.Prepacked Screens
Prepacked screens are an excellent choice for marginal reservoirs requiring economical sand control options, especially when conventional gravel packing is not feasible.Thru Tubing Screens
Thru Tubing screens are available for production tubing sizes ranging from 2-3/8". They suit for gravel pack inside small ID's and remedial sand control operations.
Screens Centralizers
These are mechanical devices, typically blade-shaped, spring or roller type, attached near the connection of sand screens. Their primary function is to maintain the screen's position within the casing or open-hole, ensuring a consistent stand-off between the screen and the casing/formation wall. This gap is indeed essential for a successful gravel packing, for an optimization of the flow of produced fluid, and to prevent screen damage.
Through our global strategic partnership, we can offer several types of screen centralizers, each with its own advantages and applications. Selecting the appropriate centralizer depends on factors such as well depth, casing or open-hole size, screen type, and the specific formation being targeted. Consult with PETROECS engineers to ensure the chosen centralizers are compatible with the well design, and that they optimize production efficiency.
Washdown/Reamer Shoes
Wash Down/Reamer Shoes allow circulation down the work-string and through the wash-pipe as the completion assembly is lowered into the well. The shoe features check valves to prevent backflow and formation sand from entering the screen or liner ID while running in hole. Several types of shoes exist; Contact PETROECS engineers to work together on an optimum recommendation.
Polished Bore Receptacles (PBR)
Our Polished Bore Receptacles can be used anywhere in the tubing or casing string, where a sealing area is required. A special polished bore receptacle with seal assembly is available through PETROECS offering: it is used in dual zone gravel packing to isolate the lower zone while gravel packing the upper zone.
Mill Out Extensions
Mill Out Extensions are always run directly below a packer when a seal bore extension or other tailpipe is run below the packer. Mill out extension is run above the seal bore extension to permit milling over the packer with a milling tool.
Wash-pipe
This is a specific pipe run inside the screen assembly during a Lower Completion installation. The joints are generally flush and allows you to circulate fluids (such as clean brine or gravel-carrying slurry) inside the screen and return through the annulus between the wash-pipe and the screen. Wash-pipe are service items that can be rented thru PETROECS.
Hydraulic Control Lines
PETROECS can help you procure a variety of stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, Nickel, Monel, and super austenitic welded and seamless control lines, depending upon the properties of the hydraulic line you need. Additionally, we offer control lines to provide increased durability, along with chemical and corrosion resistance. To meet each project’s specialized requirements, we also offer various types of encapsulation polymers. Contact PETROECS engineers to get assistance with Control Line and Encapsulation recommendations.
Cross Coupling Protectors
Cross Coupling cable protectors are engineered to safely convey and efficiently secure virtually any configuration of control lines or cables into or out of well-bores. Multiple types of Cross Coupling cable protectors(CCCP) were custom made and developed for a wide range of tubing (coupling) type & sizes, cable types & sizes. Protector's material and design can be custom made upon your projects’ requirements. Contact PETROECS engineers to get any assistance on this subject.
Sliding Sleeves
A Sliding Sleeve (SS) or Sliding Side Door (SSD) is a mechanical tool installed in the tubing string, that allows you to either open or close a port between the tubing and the annulus, control flow from the reservoir or between zones or selectively produce from or inject into different intervals. SSD's can be offered in various sizes and material. Contact PETROECS engineers to get assistance with the correct recommendations for your application.
Landing Nipples and Locks
There are multiple considerations as to the sizes and types of nipples that are to be placed into a completion. Nipple profiles fall into two main categories: Selective nipples and No-Go nipples.
Selective nipples can use the same size ID profile over and over through the completion string , this is their main advantage, as there is no reduction in ID.
No-Go nipples have defined shoulders with a larger ID above and a very slightly smaller ID at the no-go. These type of nipples must be arranged so that the largest nipple size is at the top and the smallest at the bottom, while maintaining enough difference between the next size to allow the lock to pass the nipple above.
Nipples can be offered in various sizes and material. Contact PETROECS engineers to get assistance with the correct recommendations for your application.
Flow Couplings
A Flow Coupling is a short, thicker-walled section of tubing installed in the completion string to protect the tubing from erosion and wear caused by turbulent flow — especially around restriction points. Flow couplings are super important, but often misunderstood because they look like just a fat piece of pipe — but their role is critical. Contact PETROECS engineers to get assistance with the correct recommendations for your application.
Perforated pups
A Perforated Pup Joint is a short length of tubing (a pup joint) that has been pre-drilled with small holes (perforations) along its body. Its role is to provide an alternate flow path in the tubing string especially when wireline measuring devices hang in the no-go nipple. Other roles include: allow pressure equalization, prevent fluid trapping, assist in well clean-up, reduce risk of collapse. Contact PETROECS experts for any assistance.
